Cast Iron Maintenance

Rinse with clear, hot water, without detergent or abrasive sponges. Dry immediately, both inside and out, and leave the lid open until completely dry. Do not leave tea in the teapot after serving.

Not dishwasher or microwave safe. A cast iron teapot retains heat; it does not produce it: do not place it on a stove, flame, or induction cooktop. Heat the water separately.

The handle becomes very hot: use a cloth or pot holder.
